During the Dutch – Flanders trade mission in the US, Prime Minister Rutte invited all participants to come and visit European Utility Week in Amsterdam. The event in October forms the perfect opportunity for the participating companies to further expose the agreed MoU on smart grid cooperation among the international smart energy community at the biggest and best event in the sector.
In the US, huge investments are taking place within the smart grid sector, Texas being one of the most active players in the country having already installed over 8 million smart meters. During the Transatlantic Smart Cities and Smart Grid Seminar, part of the trade mission’s programme, the Dutch Prime Minister underlined the important role of the smart energy industry in achieving two major goals; the necessity of a more efficient, safer and cleaner energy system, and the need to improve quality of life and the environment in cities.
With this year’s theme pulling in one direction; European Utility Week offers the excellent platform to gather trans-Atlantic industry players to discuss the way forward by exploring new technologies and perspectives on the smart energy sector.
As Metering.com and Smart Energy International are the official publications of European Utility Week, we can offer our readers FREE exhibition passes.
