Scandanavia embraces AMR


Denmark’s largest utility, NESA, has placed an order with Uni-meter International Ltd. for 20,000 three-phase meters with an integrated GSM communication system. The contract includes an option for the delivery of 500,000 meters. Installation will begin before the end of the year.

Advanced engineering has been employed to develop and adapt the meter for the specific use NESA has planned for its customers. The integrated system technology comprises power supply for the GSM module, as well as Bluetooth communication. 

Uni-meter has also recently delivered the test bench for the new NESA laboratory in Gentofte.
