Spintelligent Announces Major Additions to Smart Energy International Conference & Technology Expo

May 26, 2010.  Sacramento, California USA.  Spintelligent, A Division of Clarion Events, is pleased to announce several major additions to the Smart Energy International Conference & Technology Expo, which is being held on September 7 – 9, 2010 in San Jose, California.

The opening keynote session will feature presentations from John Bohn, Commissioner with the California Public Utilities Commission, and James Avery, Senior Vice President at San Diego Gas & Electric.  With Commissioner Bohn’s focus at the CPUC on climate change, energy, water issues, and developments in clean technology solutions, and with Mr. Avery’s responsibilities for SDG&E’s smart grid policies and initiatives, this will be a powerful, on-target opening session.

San Diego Gas & Electric and Pacific Gas & Electric have confirmed that they are joining Silicon Valley Power as Host Utilities.   Smart Energy International now has the support of two of the largest, most progressive investor-owned utilities in the country, and one of the most technologically advanced municipal utilities in the country.

Participating organizations, media partners, and sponsors recently confirmed include: Itron, Oracle, EPRI, SunSpec Alliance, U-SNAP Alliance, Pike Research, the California Energy Commission, and Smart Grid News.  This level of support from across the vendor, media, and professional associations underscores the quality of the conference program and its value to the burgeoning smart energy industry.

“Smart Energy International is going to be an awesome event!” said Mike Smith, Vice President & General Manager, North America for Spintelligent.  “We are indeed very fortunate and grateful for the support we have received from across all sectors of the industry.  The conference theme, ‘Connecting Our World of Energy’, really seems to have struck a chord with many key industry stakeholders.”

Smith also notes that the company’s Smart Energy Storage Summit and Smart Energy Investment Forum will be co-located with Smart Energy International, creating additional opportunities for industry leaders and professionals to learn, inform, experience, and network with their smart energy colleagues.
