The number of companies and organizations supporting Smart Energy India, taking place February 1-2, 2011 in New Delhi, continues to grow, with companies such as IBM, CapGemini, Texas Instruments, Ericsson, National Instruments, and more adding their support in recent weeks.
Interest in the Smart Grid has exploded in the last 12 months alone and this has been reflected by the establishment of the Smart Grid Forum and Task Force by the Government of India. The size and complexity of India’s power sector mean that progress on the smart grid will require cooperation and dialogue between the many various stakeholders – namely, the utilities, regulators, Government, and private sector.
Smart Energy India, in its 4th year, is supported by these stakeholders and acts as a forum at which this discussion and cooperation can take place.
