What is the plan for Toshiba this year?
We are currently transforming and restructuring our business to ensure that we have a steady, strong, and highly profitable business structure which will be fit to meet the demands of the rapidly changing economy.
In energy management solutions, we are concentrating in providing more advanced energy (grid) management solutions.
What is the current focus area for Toshiba in products and services?
In addition to providing energy management solutions that have been successfully implemented worldwide, Toshiba aims to integrate more of our product portfolio into the solutions that we can offer.
What makes you competitive in the market?
Toshiba’s wide range of product portfolio, years of experience in supplying power distribution related products and teams of committed and innovative employees worldwide will only accelerate our business forward.
With Landis+Gyr becoming a part of Toshiba and both companies having sufficient knowledge and experience in smart metering and smart grids, our competitive advantage definitely puts us ahead in the market as the one-stop energy service provider.
What do you think is the main challenge in the energy industry at the moment?
The main challenge in the energy industry would be the demand for companies to provide solutions to ensure that reliable, stable and sustainable energy can be provided to customers. The increase in demand for energy, introduction of renewables into the grid and the new trend of EV usage would imply that we have to provide solutions to tackle energy problems arising from the instability of the grid.
What is Toshiba’s vision for the industry?
The industry is growing into a new leading industry in terms of economy. Where new services and values are created is where Toshiba finds unlimited opportunities for business expansion. Toshiba Group will transform into the top energy service provider.
