Blue Solutions, a subsidiary of the Bolloré Group, stands out from its competitors by offering a world first: the fully solid-state and cobalt-free Lithium Metal Polymer (LMP®) battery.

This new technology offers a high level of safety and performance, with no climate control requirements, for mobility and energy storage applications.

Backed by more than 20 years of research and development, the Lithium Metal Polymer battery is designed and produced by Blue Solutions, a subsidiary of the Bolloré Group specialized in energy storage, in our production factories based in France and Canada.

The “solid-state” technology has no risk of leakage or thermal runaway, meaning the battery enjoys a very high level of safety and can be used regardless of the outside temperature (from -20°C to +60°C) with no climate control requirements.

Moreover, the battery is solvent-free and contains no rare earth elements, thereby limiting the risks of ambient pollution in the event of an accident or of damage to the battery. The fact that LMP® batteries are cobalt-free guarantees the technology's independence with respect to an element that has critical social and environmental implications.

Based on these batteries, BlueSolutions has developed mobile and stationary solutions to meet energy transition challenges.

In the area of mobility, BlueSolutions designs and produces a range of electric buses (6 to 12 meters long), of which more than 250 units are currently in use worldwide.

In addition, Daimler has announced that it intends to equip a portion of its electric buses with our LMP battery technology.

In the area of stationary storage, we offer on-grid and off-grid storage solutions facilitating the integration of renewable energies, providing access to energy, and making the power grid more flexible.

Our work includes the installation of a network of 50 live performance venues with a fully autonomous energy supply in Africa, where we already have 20MWh of installed batteries.

In France, our technology was selected by RTE, with which we are currently working on plans for a power station of more than 30MWh to prevent congestion in certain high-voltage lines.
