In Australia, Brisbane Airport Corporation has partnered with TaKaDu to improve the efficiency and resiliency of its water network against leakages.

The airport is deploying the firm’s big data analytics and automated cloud-based central event management solution.

The solution will enable real-time detection and management of network events and incidents including leaks, bursts, faulty assets and operational failures.

The aim is to reduce water loss and operational, maintenance costs as well as to improve water efficiency.

Krishan Tangri, general manager for assets at Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC), said: “BAC manages a water network spanning 49 kilometres across Brisbane airport’s 2,700 hectare site, supplying 300+ businesses and more than 23.4 million people every year.

“Having the ability to detect faults or operational failures as soon as possible to prevent service interruptions is critically important.”
