New Zealand-based utility Nova Energy has unveiled its Plume package to offer smart home internet services to residents.
The package will include Adaptive WiFi and HomePass features.
The Adaptive Wifi providesfast internet to every room in the house.
HomePass allows the home owner to control internet for guest use and family. For instance, giving children access to child-appropriate web browsing which can time out, when it's 'lights out'.
This means a parent can block adult websites to be accessed via devices used by children.
Features on Plume are managed through a simple mobile app to give users full control
Michael O'Donnell, Nova's GM for sales & marketing, said: "We know modern households want a consistently strong WiFi signal in every room of the house and some would like greater parental controls, so we've partnered with Plume to bring these services to New Zealand."
