The Global Net Zero Transformation Centre of Excellence will be delivered in nine hubs across Europe, North America and Asia.
The new ‘A to Zero’ offering from Atos, a digital transformation specialist, is aimed to offer end-to-end decarbonisation capabilities to organisations to enable and accelerate their journeys to net zero.
The portfolio is supported by two new integrated data platforms incorporating climate change strategy and target setting, emissions calculations, digital decarbonisation assessments, reduction of carbon emissions, as well as innovative industry solutions such as digital twins, decarbonisation level agreements and low carbon data centres.
Voluntary carbon offsetting with nature-based solutions helps compensation for emissions and neutralisation of CO2.
The Centre for Excellence’s nine hubs include five in Europe in Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, London and Munich, two in North America in New York and Montréal, and two to open by the end of 2021 in Asia in Chennai and Singapore.
These are intended to allow customers to leverage Atos’ skills, resources and network of more than 200 experts. To meet the rising adoption of net zero emission strategies, the company anticipates growing its net zero transformation team to 500 experts by the end of 2022.
“Not a day passes without a new organisation announcing its net zero ambitions, proving that the global drive to a carbon neutral economy has hit an inflection point,” comments Elie Girard, CEO of Atos.
“Our new A to Zero offering benefits from our strong commitment and decades-long work of reducing our own greenhouse gas emissions and designing innovative, low impact solutions.”
The portfolio comprises three categories. Business advisory services offer organisations a holistic approach to build successful strategies for net zero transformation taking into account their industry and business specific challenges.
Digital green advisory and platforms offer organisations the opportunity to reduce emissions and impacts through digital solutions and energy efficiency measures.
Nature-based solutions for carbon compensation and neutralisation empower organisations to progress towards net zero, measure carbon emissions and develop their own carbon offset projects.
