Kamstrup has hired a new experienced vice president to head the company’s global brand and marketing activities.
The new woman in charge is Gitte Kirkeby Søe who comes from many years of employment at Grundfos, at the latest as senior brand director.
Kamstrup has through the last years experienced an increased demand for intelligent solutions that digitalise the supply of energy and water and contribute to the green transition.
Despite the COVID-19 crisis also being reflected at Kamstrup and on the demand for products, there is still ambitions of growth on global markets in the future.
The new vice president is going to help with those ambitions since the former senior vice president, Jesper Daugaard, has been appointed to further develop Kamstrup’s business in Sweden.
Kim Lehmann, the CEO of Kamstrup, said: ”Today, markets outside the Nordic region make up for almost 30% of our total turnover. We would like this to be turned to 75% in 8-10 years – without business decreasing in the Nordic region. This requires that we increase our effort on several markets in the world.
“It will be Gitte’s task to continue the work on positioning Kamstrup with customers, partners and other important stakeholders around the world so that we can help even more utilities with energy efficiency and reduction of water waste. I am sure that Gitte with her knowledge from large Danish companies is the right person for the job.”
Gitte Kirkeby Søe comes with a strong profile within international marketing and branding. Gitte has through many years built up experience from Vestas and Grundfos, where she has been part of strengthening their position within the water and energy agenda as well as led teams with responsibility for development and implementation of customer-focused marketing activities at markets around the world.
”I have admired Kamstrup for many years for the journey they have been on, and I look forward to contributing in creating a stronger position and supporting the growth ambitions Kamstrup has. I am looking forward to working with the many skilled employees who are working on developing, branding and selling Kamstrup’s solutions for digitalising the operation of the energy and water utilities everyday”, says Gitte Kirkeby Søe.
Jesper Daugaard, who has been part of driving Kamstrup’s development for the past 7 years as the Head of Marketing, continues at Kamstrup, where he will be director of Kamstrup’s Swedish subsidary going forward. At the same time, he will be responsible for Public Affairs, and Jesper will also continue in the role as chairman for the Confederation of Danish Industries, Water, as well as a number of other board memberships.
”Jesper Daugaard has made a significant impact on the position Kamstrup has today in both Denmark and the rest of the world. He has been part of developing the company with an increased focus on digitalisation and has created good relations in the industry. With the great experience he has built up through 7 years at Kamstrup, Jesper will now head the expansion of our business in Sweden, which is the second-largest market for Kamstrup. Here, we see big potential in closer cooperation with Swedish utilities”, says Kim Lehmann.
