OVO Energy has signed a new contract with Aclara to implement the new to implement the new (smart metering equipment technical specifications: second version) SMETS2 meters.
The aim is to modernise its grid networks, improve customer services and energy billing as well as comply with the UK’s smart meter rollout programme.
Aclara is providing the energy provider with its SGM1400 SMETS2 meters, which has been certified by the UK National Cyber Security Centre.
The solution provider is partnering with Flonidan under the project with OVO Energy.
