In the US state of Florida, the Town of Bay Harbor Islands has entered into a deal to expand its electric vehicles charging infrastructure and to reduce the charging times for EV owners.

The town signed a contract with technology firm Blink to install ultra-fast EV chargers.

The deal allows the supply and installation of the IQ200/80amps charging station.

The EV charger model replaces existing 60 amps chargers to allow drivers to charge three times faster than before.

Michael D. Farkas, CEO of Blink Charging, said:  “EV Drivers are demanding that the chargers where they park charge faster than the legacy units now available in many locations.”
