Landis+Gyr scoops two awards for health and safety at North American facilities


 Landis+Gyr  has been recognised for excellence in operational safety at two of its North American facilities.

The smart grid solutions firm has received the Meritorious Achievement Award from the Minnesota Safety Council.

The award recognizes the health and safety record and related programmes at the company’s Roseville office which manages field services and support for Xcel Energy’s advanced metering operations.

 Landis+Gyr has also been recognised by the Federal Secretary of Labor in Tamaulipas State for the health and safety standards adopted at the firm’s manufacturing plant in Reynosa, Mexico.

 The Swiss company was ranked on the third level in the state’s Health and Safety Self-Management Program.

As such, we place a high priority on safety training and processes as part of our ISO programs.”
