Tonttu is a remote controllable, wireless caretaker who guards your holiday home when you are not around. Tonttu is particularly concerned about efficient energy usage. When the host is not around, the indoor temperature can be lowered. When expecting the host, Tonttu raises the temperature and heats the sauna, if you so wish.

Shell Canada]Montreal, Canada --- (METERING.COM) ---September 13, 2011 - Six Canadian households are participating in the Energy Diet Challenge, a three-month competition designed by Canadian Geographic and Shell Canada Limited to encourage Canadians to use energy more efficiently in their homes and make smarter mobility choices.
The project will be undertaken by Guyana’s main state owned utility, Guyana Power and Light Ltd. (GPL), and follows an earlier loss reduction initiative, also supported by an IDB loan.
The Nice Grid project, which will take place in mainland France, is aimed to provide the first local life size demonstration of energy storage using Li-ion batteries integrated at three grid levels – the originating substation, distribution substation, and residential (with overall storage capacity of about 2.7 MWh).
