A utility with more than 3.3 million electric, and 1.8 million natural gas customers has awarded a contract for the provision of support services for its Energy Feedback Demand-Side Management Programme.
Xcel Energy has selected Franklin Energy to provide the Home Energy Report to residential customers of Xcel Energy.
The report will include personalised energy-use comparisons, information, feedback and energy efficiency recommendations to encourage and educate consumers on how best they can optimise their energy savings.
Xcel Energy and Franklin will leverage consumer smart meters to acquire the data across more than 870,000 consumers in Minnesota, Colorado and New Mexico, starting January 2020.
Franklin Energy will make use of its machine-learning enabled NGAGE technology suite to expand customer engagement strategies.
