The new contract commences from January 1, 2019 through to December 31, 2028 and replaces a deal between the two that has been in place for the past 20 years.

The $67 million deal includes Utility Service Affiliates helping the City to realise increased operating efficiencies such as the provision of quality services to consumers.

The contract covers daily operation, maintenance, minor system repair costs and management of the City’s ongoing capital improvement programme.

However, the city will manage all billing and customer service work.
