Enel X has announced it has reached a new milestone of connecting 15,000 new sustainable homes in Italy.

The sustainable homes include Homix, the Smart Home system that manages home heating, security, and lighting, as well as air conditioners, condensing boilers, photovoltaic systems, and energy storage systems.

The 10 thousandth customer who received the system has connected his onsite solar pv system with an energy storage and air conditioning system. The Homix system on the premise leverages Alexa to command devices and apps via vocal commands or via a practical touch screen or remotely.

Andrea Scognamiglio, the head of e-home at Enel X, said: “Achieving this remarkable milestone is in line with our ambition to provide customers with solutions that make sustainability affordable and accessible to everyone.

“We can make a difference by making more informed choices in terms of optimising consumption and Enel X is committed to ensuring that these choices are also cost-effective.”
