SmartEnergy IP has presented the 2019 Smart Grid Customer Innovation Awards to winners at the 9th annual Smart Grid Customer Education Symposium.
Recipients of the innovation awards have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments, leadership and innovation in engaging customers about grid modernisation and its benefits.
The winners are:
- Dominion Energy received a leadership award for innovating in areas related to smart grid customer education.
- Alabama Power and Georgia Power for outstanding leadership relating to the adoption of new technology to improve their communities.
- Reliant and Google received the excellence award in innovative collaboration to improve customer education.

Mr. Nick Wagner, President of NARUC and Member of the Iowa Utilities Board received the leadership award for exceptional leadership in areas related to smart grid customer education.
