LAISON Prepaid Water Meter in NWSC,Zambia


In Zambia, LAISON had a deep understanding of the problems and demands of Nkana Water (NWSC), analysed the problems of high customer arrears, low metering coverage, illegal connections, high turnover of professional stall, etc., and proposed the solution of Split Type STS Prepaid Smart Water Meter to reduce debt buildup, reduce Non-Revenue Water and improve service quality.

Moreover, LAISON Team has assisted the integration between LAISON Vending System and local E-payment platform in Zambia, enable the Customer to self-service water purchase on their Mobile Phone through payment of Mobile Money/Online Bank, which reduces the great investment in the establishment of Vending Points for NWSC. Till now, around 80% of the Water Purchase is coming from the E-payment Platform.

LAISON has provided more than 30,000 Prepaid Smart Water Meters to NWSC, significantly improving debt recovery and enhancing online monitoring and analysis of the water network for NWSC.
