Over the last few months the opposition to smart meters has if anything grown, both vocally and more widespread. In California smart meter opt-out options have now come into place, but opponents remain unsatisfied. And the latest in the US, highlighted by Compos Mentis (p 16), focuses on the health impac ts of smart meters – not from the usual RF perspec tive, but on issues such as nutritional status and access to health care(!), while in Victoria, Australia one distributor has found evidence of smart meter sabotage with chemicals.
