Committed to identifying and reducing electrical transmission and distribution losses, Panchal gained over 50 years of experience in this field while working with a private utility in Gujarat (Torrent Power). Today he shares his experience as a technical advisor to both Secure and Yadav Measurement.
He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and seminars, including World Council of Power Utilities on Green Power, Smart Energy International, IEEMA, ELECRAMA, EMPOWER, Institute of Engineers, Bureau of Indian Standards, Council of Power Utilities, Engineering Staff College of India.
His paper on “Harmonics: effects on Metering and Power Distribution” presented at International conference of IEEMA – 2013, was appreciated with an award as third best paper
One of his articles was published by Metering and Smart Energy International Magazine in Issue4 of 2015
He is a member of various technical committees at the Bureau of Indian Standards.
He is visiting faculty at the one and only Metering School at Yadav Measurement Labs and has been visiting faculty at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
He is a patent holder for a “POKAYOKE” type hardware used in electricity measurement.
