The release adds that Kamstrup’s supply is not limited to the 27,000 electricity meters, but also includes the OMNIA smart grid platform, which will give Västerbergslagens Elnät AB the possibility to test and remotely read heat meters and provide the data needed.
Turnkey smart meters solution

The OMNIA smart grid solution will give Västerbergslagens Elnät AB the ability to improve the service it offers its customers. This includes transparent billing and the potential to monitor their energy usage can help customers to save energy and reduce their spending. The OMNIA platform will also provide the utility with data to analyse as well as optimise grid performance and increase efficiency.

The process of replacing the Swedish utility’s existing meters will begin in the next few months with the project expected to be completed within the next three years.
