Central Lincoln People’s Utility District selects Landis+Gyr’s Gridstream

[img:Distribution (Custom).thumbnail.jpg| ]Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. --- (METERING.COM) --- December 17, 2010 - The Central Lincoln People’s Utility District has selected Landis+Gyr’s Gridstream RF solution to provide a complete smart grid network and advanced metering solution.

Central Lincoln will begin deploying the system in January 2011 and plans to complete the deployment in June of 2012. In addition to advanced metering and home area networking, the utility will be looking into line loss mitigation, improving service reliability and overall load management.

Spring Networks]São Paulo, Brazil --- (METERING.COM) --- November 25, 2010 - Silver Spring Networks and Landis+Gyr have announced a partnership to provide an integrated smart grid solution in Brazil.

Under the agreement, Landis+Gyr will provide E22 and E34 meters and the SGP+M system equipped with Silver Spring communications modules. The Silver Spring Smart Energy Platform combines network infrastructure, software and professional services to enable a range of smart grid applications. The combined solution will deliver fully integrated, end-to-end, IPv6-based communications.

CEZ Group selects Landis+Gyr for three contracts

Landis+Gyr will supply 10,000 smart meters for the CEZ Group's 40,000 metering point pilot project in the Czech Republic. Moreover, the company's Gridstream solution, including head-end software and meter data management system for data processing will be deployed for the whole project.

Peter Heuell appointed new CEO of Landis+Gyr Germany

[img:Landis_tag%5B1%5D.thumbnail.JPG| ]Dr Peter Heuell has been appointed as the CEO of Landis+Gyr Germany with immediate effect. Herbert Brunner, the previous CEO, will become the COO and take over global responsibility for the heat meter business. The management team is completed with Bernhard Hubert, the current CFO.

Ad van der Meys, executive VP Landis+Gyr EMEA said, “We are very happy that Dr Heuell has joined our team as he knows our industry and business extremely well.” He added that the company is completely prepared for the expected coming changes within the German energy market.

Jerry Olson joins Landis+Gyr’s North American sales team

Landis+Gyr Names Stan March as Senior V.P. Corporate Communications

Landis+Gyr is working with the Czech utility, CEZ, building the largest industrial, commercial and grid metering data centre in Europe, using the latest generation technology designed for 85,000 industrial metering points. By the end of 2008 around 40,000 metering points spread throughout the Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and other distribution networks in these countries will be connected to the centre’s system, also provided by Landis+Gyr.
