Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — (METERING.COM) — January 25, 2011 – Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) and L&T Infotech have signed an agreement under which L&T Infotech will implement an end-to-end integrated fully functional, secure, bilingual (Arabic/English) enterprise solution for metering, billing, account receivables, customer relationship management and financial management systems.
The new solution from SAP will automate and integrate business processes, embed transaction processing controls and provide appropriate reports to facilitate decision making and smooth functioning of SEC.
SEC’s operations span the entire Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the company is committed to providing its customers with safe, reliable electricity services. SEC aims to establish interconnected electric grids throughout the Kingdom to keep pace with the growing demand for electric power. Moreover, it has ambitious plans to participate in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution projects in the international markets.

The new system will comprise SAP Customer Relationship Management and Billing for Utility, Customer Financial Management for Utility, Energy Data Management for Utility, and annual technical support.
The implementation will cover the head office as well as the Eastern, Central, Western and Southern operating areas.
