Energy management company Schneider Electric is launching an event for industry, government and academics in South Africa as a way to showcase its energy efficiency solutions for the southern part of the continent.
Xperience Efficiency, a free-to-attend event, taking place in Johannesburg in August 2014, will focus on the southern African energy landscape and energy strategies, challenges and solutions.
Discussions will focus on topics such as the smart grid and research papers that have shown that electricity networks in South Africa, and worldwide, require smart solutions if power supply and demand is to be balanced efficiently.
Eric Legér, country president for Southern Africa at Schneider Electric, South Africa, commented on the event launch: “Xperience Efficiency South Africa 2014 will offer a platform from which to address key drivers of change, including economic and government rebalancing, urbanisation, digitisation and sustainable resources.”
Schneider will demonstrate specific solutions at the event.
