Raleigh, NC, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — October 14, 2010 – Sensus has announced the signing of a major contract for the installation of 28,000 MeiStreamPlus Class C commercial and industrial (C&I) water meters in Egypt.

The MeiStreamPlus, which was launched in 2008 in Europe, offers a wide flow range and impressive accuracy. It is the world’s first Woltman meter in metrological class C and has been optimized for applications with very low flow rates. MeiStreamPlus’ advanced bearing and hydraulics design means it effectively replaces three former meter technologies, merging the high overload capabilities of Woltman horizontal and vertical meters with the low flow performance of single jet Class C meters.

“This contract with Egypt confirms our mission to provide utilities around the world with solutions that enable intelligent use and conservation of resources,” commented said José Hernandez, Executive VP Global Water & Heat at Sensus. “We are confident that our state-of-the-art technology will help Egypt to manage efficiently and durably water conservation programs.”
