Vigeo Group subsidiary and Genus Power sign partnership agreement


Global Utilities Management Co. (GUMCO) has signed a partnership agreement with Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd for the manufacturing, assembling and development of electricity metering solutions for Nigeria, and other countries in the West African sub-region.

According to The Guardian, the agreement between Vigeo Group subsidiary GUMCO and Genus Power, “signifies the intention to collaborate closely on developing viable solutions to meet Nigeria and West Africa’s power metering needs.”

It adds that the agreement provides a “framework for joint research, setup and deployment to develop innovative features tailored to the challenges of the West African power market.”

Metering solutions

GUMCO and Genus believe that through their partnership, Nigerian power distribution companies (Discos) will have ample opportunity to service their consumers with metering solutions suitable to the real-world challenges of the market as well as enhance their bottom-line and reputation with their customers.

According to GUMCO business development manager, Tosin Osibodu, “GUMCO is excited and honoured to be part of this unique partnership with Genus Power.”
