Taking the pain out of paying energy bills


Gurgaon, India — (METERING.COM) — September 1, 2008 – Customers of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) are benefiting from improved billing methods introduced by the utility, easing the pain of paying for their electricity consumption. During the month of September DHBVN will deploy electronic machines that accept meter readings and generate bills immediately, in the presence of the user, who will then be able to make immediate payment by check.

The new machines are just one example of improved customer service offered by DHBVN. The company has recently established several customer care centers and a billing center in Gurgaon itself. The new billing machines mean that customers do not have to visit the billing center and stand in line to pay their bills; they will now be able to do this from the comfort of their own homes, as soon as the meter reading has been taken.
