Frost & Sullivan have announced the Southeast Asia Smart Grid Solutions Company of the Year, naming Trilliant, a global provider of IoT and smart energy communications solutions, as the winner. Analysis of all the companies offering end-to-end smart grid solutions in Southeast Asia, recognised Trilliant as the market leader with remarkable growth and expansion of its customer base.
“This award validates the goals we set for Trilliant five years ago,” said Bryan Spear, Trilliant’s managing director, Asia Pacific. “By bringing a globally compliant and flexible solution, we’re uniquely meeting the needs of a wide variety of utilities looking to gain efficiencies and customer satisfaction through smart grid technology.”
The Company of the Year Award recognises the provider that has demonstrated excellence in growth, innovation and leadership; excellence which is typically translating into superior performance in demand generation, brand development and competitive positioning.
Citing the extensive knowledge of market gaps and initiative to work closer with utilities to develop solutions, Frost & Sullivan said that the company’s growth diversification strategy, above market growth, industry best practices and best value for price helped secure their strong market foothold in Southeast Asia’s growing smart grid market.
Trilliant has, among other things, established a smart energy communication network in Vietnam, secured a strategic alliance in Malaysia, an agreement to deploy the region’s first smart city demonstration project by the end of 2017 and various other projects and innovative smart grid and smart city solutions across the region.
“Trilliant exhibited an extraordinary performance in the Smart Grid Solutions market in Southeast Asia during 2016. The market is still in its nascent stage, but Trilliant has successfully expanded their customer base in the region during the past few years,” says Avanthika Satheesh, industry analyst energy and environment, Frost & Sullivan.
“Trilliant has emerged as one the leading players in the Southeast Asian Smart grid market, with solutions for smart meters, distribution automation and demand response among other offerings. They have rightly identified the market gaps and worked closely with the power utilities to develop the solutions for their specific needs.”
“As Southeast Asia looks to drive the region’s rapidly growing economies, we are proud to have the opportunity to work with many progressive utilities, providing solutions that help achieve their vision,” said Andy White, president and CEO of Trilliant. “We look forward to continued growth and expansion in the Southeast Asia market and around the globe to serve our customers’ needs.”
