Wasion signs metering hardware supply agreement with Siemens


Changsha, China — (METERING.COM) — January 17, 2012 – Wasion Group Limited and Siemens AG have signed a Metering Hardware Supply Agreement under which Wasion will be able to sell its smart power, water and gas metering products to countries outside China through Siemens’ global sales network.

In addition, both parties will collaborate on the design, research and development, and production of new products based on the requirements of customers and to ensure the provision of smart metering products with advanced technology, reliable quality and competitive pricing.

Siemens is one of the global leaders in smart grid. Wasion is a leading provider of smart metering products and energy efficiency services in China. The signing of the Agreement not only demonstrates the recognition of Wasion’s capability by Siemens, but also a stage achievement resulting from the efforts of both parties since the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on May 15, 2010, said Wasion in a statement.

The Agreement was signed in Changsha, Hunan on December 20, 2011 by Ji Wei, chairman of the Board of Directors of Wasion Group, and Bernd Haetzel, chief financial officer of the Smart Grid Division of the Infrastructure & Cities Sector of Siemens.
