London, U.K. — (METERING.COM) — July 20, 2010 – Poland’s largest provider of district heating Dalkia Polska has decided to expand the rollout of Oracle’s E-Business Suite (EBS) system applications to six other entities within the company.
The EBS applications were implemented in the Dalkia Group’s seven largest companies in Poland as part of the first stage of the Azimuth project in 2008 aimed at consolidating key applications operating at various locations and supporting the most important business processes. In the Azimuth II project, the solutions are now being executed to the group of “secondlevel companies”.
Similar to the first project stage, implementation works are performed in cooperation with the Oracle Polska consultants team. As part of the cooperation, Oracle specialists provide advisory services related to the rules regarding the promotion of the existing Oracle EBS model parameterization for new companies.
The following Oracle EBS modules were launched during the first implementation stage: Oracle Finance, including the Main Ledger, Fixed Assets, Liabilities, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management; Logistics, including Supply, Warehouse Management; and Investment and Renovation Projects.
“Changes introduced to Dalkia Polska Group will have a positive impact on effectiveness, time saving and swift decision-making,” said Agata Mazurek-BÄ…k, Dalkia Services president. “A coherent database, a common accounting policy and documentation process simplification will make it easier to compare the results achieved by particular entities and provide managers with quick and reliable access to the needed information. During the implementation of Oracle EBS solutions in ‘second level companies’ we expect to expand the benefits of system implementation regarding purchasing.”
