Nottingham, U.K. — (METERING.COM) — February 7, 2007 – bglobal, a provider of smart metering technology and data retrieval services to deregulated global energy markets for non-half hourly (NHH) electricity, gas and water customers, has chosen 360 Technologies’ dynamic scheduling as an integral part of its smartMETER service aimed at the (NHH) electricity market. Technology company 360’s integrated dynamic scheduling engine will now automatically schedule the work of bglobal’s service engineers, bringing significant efficiencies and greater control to bglobal’s meter installation programme.
Companies experiencing problems caused by inaccurate, infrequent meter readings, often based on poor estimated information, can benefit from a metering, monitoring and targeting program enabled by bglobal’s smartMETER service, which provides real electricity consumption information.
“Having received a recommendation from one our partners, Western Power Distribution, we have chosen 360’s DSE to integrate with our new booking system which we are developing in-house with 360’s help,” said Akbar Joolia, head of IT at bglobal. “The system will take meter installation data from our customers and the DSE will produce a schedule to enable installation appointments to be made. Customers will then be phoned to check if appointments are suitable; if not the appointments can be rescheduled there and then in real time. The appointment schedules will then be fed into the mobile data system for onward transmission to the field”.
“Signing bglobal as our newest metering customer is proof positive that our scheduling solutions can solve some very real problems for companies operating in the deregulated energy market. The move to smart metering is particularly interesting in the face of rising prices and climate change and something we hope our scheduling technology will help to facilitate” said Laurent Othacéhé, Managing Director of 360 Technologies.
