German IT company Arvato Systems has launched a full-service package for the administration of smart meter gateways in anticipation of federal government regulations on data management expected to take effect mid-2014.
The system for measurement data collection, gateway administration and IT security management will meet regulatory requirements of the German Federal Office for Information Security, Arvato claims.
Matthias Moeller, CEO of arvato Systems perdata GmbH, said: “We are offering energy suppliers and public utilities an ASP-based, full-service package for gateway administration, independent of the pending passage of the necessary regulations.
“Our customers benefit in two ways: firstly, they meet the high security standards and, secondly, they save money by eliminating the need for certification in many areas.”
