UK’s Cyan Holdings, which delivers mesh-based flexible wireless solutions for utility smart metering and smart lighting control, showcased its technology twice this week to a Chinese audience.
The company received a delegation from the Chinese Embassy at its Cambridge-based office to demonstrate the software design company’s connectivity solutions.
Cyan said the intention of the meeting was to see how officials could support the company’s further entrance into the Chinese market, particularly smart city projects.
Cyan is also this week travelling to Beijing as part of a trade mission organised by Cambridge Cleantech and supported by UKTI, the British Embassy and the China-Britain Business Council.
Cyan will exhibit in a British Business Pavilion at IGEBC, a sustainable building event organised by the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development.
The UK company already has a foothold in global markets.
Cyan is working with Brazil to use its CyLec module to retrofit standards meters with smart functionality.
