Cardiff, Wales—(METERING.COM)—June 29, 2006 – Following the implementation of Sensus Metering’s Pollustat-E water-based heating and air-conditioning measurement system, the Welsh assembly building has been awarded the prestigious BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Rating for sustainable building construction.
The advanced ultrasonic metering technology measures energy used in the water-based heating and air conditioning systems. The 29 meters provide volume and energy consumption readings on a consistent basis as part of an automatic meter reading (AMR) system. They are connected to the central BMS system via pulse output modules, generating a profile for the entire distribution of energy within the building.
Commenting on the project, Sensus project manager Jamie Longman said: “Sustainability is at the very heart of the Assembly building – and we were delighted to use our expertise in helping to ensure optimum energy monitoring, measurement and efficiency.”
