World’s smallest RF modules

Radiocrafts AS, a provider of standard RF modules and systems for short range radio based in Norway, has launched a series of RF modules which are the smallest in the industry. The shielded modules, made for surface mounting, measure 12.7 x 25.4 x 3.5 mm. Data buffering, addressing and error check are handled by the embedded proprietary protocol. A standard UART serial bus is the interface to the host.

Typical applications include home and building automation, automatic metering reading, remote control and telemetry. RC1040 and RC1080 are designed for operation in the licence-free bands in Europe at 433 and 868 MHz, while RC1090 operates under FCC regulations for use in North America, at 902-928 MHz.
