Charlie Macaluso is president and chief executive officer of the Electricity Distributors Association (EDA). He has more than 25 years experience in the electricity industry and is recognized for his work, dedication and knowledge of the energy industry, both from a municipal and provincial perspective. He is also known for his high level of leadership in the risk management and insurance areas.
He is an astute and accomplished business leader with a proven track record in the energy and insurance industries. As CEO, he spearheaded the reform of the Association, and the re-branding of the EDA, to meet the emerging competitive electricity marketplace in Ontario.
Macaluso sits on the Dean’s Advisory Committee at York University, Toronto. He is also a member of the Board of Management for the Ontario Centres of Excellence, Centre for Energy.
The Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) is the voice of Ontario’s local electricity distributors, the publicly and privately owned companies that safely and reliably deliver electricity to Ontario homes, businesses and public institutions. The EDA provides members with advocacy and representation in the legislative and regulatory environment and the electricity market in Ontario.
