The Smart Energy International Academy is pleased to announce a technical training tour to China, taking place from 7-13 November 2005.

The Partnership and Opportunities Program: China is a unique combination of technical visits, utility and consultant briefings and round-table meetings that will provide metering professionals from North America with an opportunity to meet with representatives from Chinese state technical authorities, state electricity supervisory bodies and local power utilities. Delegates will gain a good understanding of the Chinese metering market, economic environment, policies and regulations as well as the investment and commercial risks. The program will give participants competitive advantage by networking in an intimate one-on-one environment with major Chinese stakeholders.

The tour starts in Beijing, and moves thereafter to Shanghai and Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Some of the organisastions that will be visited are the State Electric Power Research Institute (State EPRI); the State Power Grid Corporation (SPGC); the Eastern China Power Grid Corp. (ECPGC); Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company; and Jiangsu Provincial Power Grid Corporation.
