Triniti Consulting has helped Avista Utilities to successfully deploy meter data management, smart grid gateway and service order management solutions developed by Oracle Utilities.
The solutions will help Avista Utilities to improve customer services and billing accuracy to 370,000 electric and 343,000 natural gas customers in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon.
The initiative will decrease customer site visits, increase employee safety and establish a platform for future smart grid initiatives and programmes such as Conservation Voltage Reduction and advanced rate offerings.
The project began in May 2016 and included integrating Oracle Utilities Service Order Management with an existing Customer Care and Billing system also developed by Oracle Utilities to enable service order automation.
Mary Silkworth, Manager of Enterprise Systems, adds, “At Avista, quality of service for our customers is one of the most important aspects of our business. Over the course of our go-live event, and throughout the weeks following go-live, our service quality measures remained consistent.
“In fact, our customers probably never even knew a system of this magnitude was being implemented. It was an amazingly efficient go-live weekend and the entire Avista / Triniti team accomplished an incredible achievement.”
