Fulton, MO and Raleigh, NC, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — June 27, 2011 – The City of Fulton, Missouri has selected Tantalus to provide the communications backbone for its smart grid.
Fulton’s deployment of the technology is funded by a Department of Energy grant that carries strict performance requirements. Tantalus was selected based on a number of criteria including its ability to manage real time data communications.
“One thing we see as very important in developing our smart grid is the communication reliability.” explained Fulton utility superintendent, Darrell Dunlap. “This system will give our energy trader the right information at the right time to make cost imperative decisions.”
