City of Sumter seeks supplier to help with AMI/AMR systems

The City of Sumter, with a population under 50,000, is considering an AMR/AMI system to improve its electricity delivery

In the US, the city of Sumter in South Carolina has issued a tender for consulting services for an automated meter reading and advanced metering infrastructure system.

The City is seeking answers to the feasibility of implementing an AMR/AMI system in its service area.

If the project is deemed possible, the supplier will provide project management and technical support to City staff through the acquisition and installation of an operational AMR/AMI system.

The City does not intend to use a guaranteed energy savings structure for any approved project.
