Cooper Power Systems makes AMI sense with Sensus

Waukesha, WIS, USA — (METERING.COM) — August 9, 2006 – Cooper Power Systems has concluded an agreement with Sensus Metering Systems to integrate Sensus’s FlexNet advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) radio communications technologies into its products.

Features of the FlexNet AMI include lower communications costs from its existing nationwide infrastructure, high reliability through its redundant communications channels and the ability to directly feed collected information back to the utility’s IT system.

Commenting on the agreement group president for Cooper Power Systems, Michael A. Stoessl, said: “FlexNet enhances our best in-class products with customer-focused technology, and enables new product and solution development that will help electric utilities maximize performance.
