Mississauga, ON, Canada — (METERING.COM) — January 31, 2008 – Energy Savings Group, a licensed aggregator for retail sale of electricity, has opened its new 48,500 square foot, customer service call center in Mississauga that will serve approximately 1 million customer accounts in Canada and the United States, and will house nearly 500 customer service representatives.

"We are very excited about this new call center here in Mississauga," says Rebecca MacDonald, Executive Chair of Energy Savings Group. "To serve our growing customer base, we decided to hire rather than outsource, and will be doubling the capacity of our call center team over the next several months."

The new facility features state-of-the-art technology and a comprehensive, open concept design. Customer service representatives will handle calls in multiple languages for natural gas and electricity services for residential, commercial and industrial customers in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Illinois, Indiana, New York and Texas.

"When we decided to expand our call center operation, it was an easy decision to stay in Mississauga and hire locally," added Energy Savings CEO Brennan Mulcahy. "This is a great place to live and conduct business. We are committed to becoming North America’s leading energy retailer and to delivering the highest level of customer service. The new call center will help us achieve this goal."

Having recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary, Energy Savings Group was named the 2007 ‘Company of the Year’ by the Ontario Energy Association. The award was in recognition of the company’s corporate leadership, commitment to innovations such as green energy options and customer service, as well as its proactive work with legislators and regulators.
