US smart communications platform company Trilliant has revealed a strategic partnership with a provider of industrial automation solutions for utilities.
Trilliant will work with Bit Stew Systems, headquartered in Canada, which produces a platform for software defined operations for the industrial internet.
Bit Stew’s product Grid Director will be offered alongside Trilliant’s Smart Communications Platform.
Combined grid software solution
When operating as an integrated solution, Grid Director will receive data from the Trilliant platform and present it in a unified view to the operations center as well as combine it with data from other disparate sensor systems in the field, said the companies in a statement.
Mike Mortimer, senior vice-president of Global Sales at Trilliant, said: “Trilliant and Bit Stew are developing and deploying powerful solutions to help utilities make sense of the increased data they are receiving from their smart grid deployments to further leverage the high capacity of the Trilliant Smart Communications Platform to deliver more data, more frequently.
“Together, our technologies deliver both immediate benefits to those just starting their deployments as well as those that want to be able to leverage all of their needed data in the future.”
Bit Stew’s Grid Director uses MIx Core, an artificial intelligence engine that supports predictive automation.
