Hunt Technologies, provider of PLC and RF technology for monitoring electricity, water and gas meters, has announced that its Command Centre – the web-based operating software of its PLC AMR/AMI systems – is the first AMR software to be certified to the MultiSpeak 3.0 standard. Command Centre 2.2.2 passed compliance testing on its ability to use MultiSpeak-defined web services to share data with Milsoft’s WindMill engineering analysis software. Testing confirmed that the interface between Command Centre and WindMill allows WindMill users to request demand and power quality data for all AMR-supported meters on the system.
The MultiSpeak Initiative is a collaborative effort of the National Rural Electric Co-operative Association, formed to foster the development of cost-effective, interoperable software products for electricity co-ops. Hunt Technologies is one of over 120 software providers and consultants making up the Initiative.
