Toronto, Canada and Paris, France — (METERING.COM) — June 11, 2010 – Canadian utility Hydro One Networks Inc. has signed a CA$650 million (US$630 million) contract extension to 2015 for IT and business process outsourcing services with Capgemini subsidiary Capgemini Canada.
The original contract between Hydro One and Capgemini was effective December 2001, and this current contract extension calls for Capgemini to continue to provide services in support of Hydro One’s business transformation and investment program.
The business process outsourcing covers a full scope of services including source-to-pay, finance and accounting, settlements and customer service and billing as well as HR/payroll.
The information technology outsourcing services include infrastructure management and applications management services.
In addition core system support will cover the implementation and optimization of Hydro One’s packaged core systems, including SAP among others.
