Holden, MA, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — December 8, 2010 – Utility security device manufacturer Inner-Tite Corp. has introduced the Fort Knox Gold Bar – a heavy duty steel locking assembly with which to secure single row horizontal ringless gang style meter sockets.
Many utilities companies today are finding multi-dwelling housing units to be breeding grounds for non-payment and blatant theft of electric service, and the problem is escalating. The Fort Knox Gold Bar is designed to address meter tampering of the most persistent and aggressive nature.
“The Fort Knox Gold Bar arms utility companies with a truly effective weapon to combat loss of equipment, theft of service and delinquency in apartment complexes.” explains Inner-Tite general sales manager, Lee Holovnia. “Property owners and managers see the value in this and appreciate the service because the Gold Bar helps them to control problem tenants and curb vandalism.”
The Fort Knox Gold Bar is a modular and adjustable high security locking device that will fit any length gang set from 32.5” and up. The assembly features articulating ends that provide the flexibility to install on the side, top, or bottom of the gang socket when obstacles are encountered. In addition, bar extensions are available to lengthen the device to accommodate virtually any size gang meter socket. Optional center supports can be installed at any location on the device to fortify the assembly on longer length installations. The channel bridge strengthens tandem Gold bars that are installed on the top and bottom of the gang socket.
