LODESTAR Promotes John Hovan to Senior Vice President, Chief Software Architect & Chief Technology Officer


Peabody, Massachusetts – April 4, 2006 – LODESTAR Corporation, a leading provider of energy software solutions, announced today the promotion of John Hovan to Senior Vice President, Chief Software Architect & Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Hovan has been with LODESTAR for 12 years, and during that time, has led the evolution of LODESTAR’s software from both a business and technology perspective. During his tenure at LODESTAR, Mr. Hovan has directed LODESTAR’s research and development team to implement meta-data-driven rules and screens, web-browser-based interfaces, application-level security, an integrated reporting framework, and internationalized software for all new products. As Chief Technology Officer, he will continue to lead LODESTAR’s R&D team while providing product technical direction and communicating LODESTAR’s current and future technology vision to existing and new clients.

Mr. Hovan has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a master’s degree in computer science from Boston University. He will remain based at LODESTAR headquarters in Peabody, Massachusetts.
