Neptune adds FATHOM to utility partner programIn the US, two water metering services have joined forces to offer utilities a better view of real-time consumption as well as meter data management and analysis.

FATHOM, a geo-based real-time usage platform developed and marketed by Global Water Management, an owner and operator of regulated water and wastewater utilities, has joined Neptune’s Connected Utility Partnership Program.

The program offered by Neptune Technology Group, a manufacturer of AMR and AMI solutions for water utilities, was created to meet the growing needs of water utilities to operate an advanced sensor infrastructure and smart utility network with shared, analyzed data across utility applications.

FATHOM joins the Connected Utility Partnership as an enhanced partner with the benefit of “further unlocking the power of Neptune’s AMR/AMI systems by bringing the data into a comprehensive system that is proven to increase revenue, reduce costs, engage customers, and harness the power of concentrated data,” FATHOM said in a statement.

Trevor Hill, chief executive officer of FATHOM, said: “By combining the meter read data from Neptune’s R900 and R450 Systems with the strength of the geospatial and advanced analytics contained within the FATHOM meter data management system, the FATHOM U2You customer engagement platform, and the FATHOM customer information system, water utilities will be able to leverage the data generated by Neptune’s infrastructure into actionable information enhancing revenue collection.”

Utility partners

Neptune’s Connected Utility Partnership Program is split into three levels of membership – premier, enhanced and standard.

All members must commit to connectivity to Neptune’s AMR and AMI solutions.

Other partners within the program include mobile workforce automation company Clevest and location-based solutions provider Trimble.
