Kent, WA, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — November 12, 2007 – Puget Sound Energy has appointed database solution provider ITTIA to design, develop and deliver a new generation meter management solution to streamline the processing of meters and equipment in the utility’s repair center.
ITTIA developed an application to track and collect data from meters processed in the repair facility. By collecting information in real time and organizing it for use in business logic, meter management issues are now identified and resolved in advance. Because data and business rules are stored in a central database, the entire facility is managed through a single interface.
ITTIA’s solution helps PSE to improve its meter management processes by gaining visibility into meter status and condition, which allows the company to take the required actions more quickly and thereby increase productivity and save time. The custom solution also utilizes ITTIA database in the field to collect information about electrical transformers on Windows CE handheld computers. Mobile data acquisition is now part of the main system, making data management safe and efficient without relying on connectivity.
